Frequently asked questions
Absolutely! We're worked with multiple companies on white label product design. We typically take these engagements on an hourly basis because they tend to stretch out over long periods of time. For some projects we will consider a profit share agreement.
Our hourly rate can cover a fairly broad range depending on the scope of the project and the type of work involved. For example, our architecture services can be more expensive than our production services. Long projects tend to have a lower hourly rate than short projects.
We typically break the project down into stories. Things like "explore the site and take photos of everything". Once we've broken everything down we give each story a relative size. We add up those relative sizes and that gives us an idea of the amount of work. Then we put a bunch of numbers in a hat. Whatever comes out, we multiple that by the story total and put a dollar sign in front of it. Just kidding, we have an actual process, but it's a secret.
Because we have so many projects on the go we are unable to put together proposal bids on spec. We prefer to work out a retainer at the beginning of a project and the work put into the proposal will come out of that retainer.
Working with us
In our first call we will cover the basic agenda that we use to determine the scope of your project and the assets that we will need to engage. We bundle that information into a retainer contract.
We will give a rough estimate of the project and set up a retainer that we can use to cover the costs of building our your proposal. The retainer is just an upfront payment. We will draw down from that initial payment with hourly work.
This is the fun part, where we jump in and do the actual work. This phase of the project can range from a few weeks to a few years. This is where the magic happens, we know what work needs to be done and we get it done on schedule.
Our wrap up process is designed to make sure you have all the assets you need to continue the project on your own. We understand that sometimes our clients need to move on so we designed our process to support that.
